Kudos to you for teaching in Thailand. Sounds like an amazing life experience and helping others in the best way possible--thru education and life-long learning.

Yes, it is wonderful, we dance everyday to Jerry and sing sweet songs too. How are you doing? What state are you in?

Welcoming spring (soon, we hope) after last week's single digit cold snap here in the lovely Green Mountains of the great state of Vermont.

Doing well and hoping you are, too.

Keep 'em dancing, and spread the Jerry joy! ;-)

Nice state, actually, I have never been there. I am coming home this summer and I will take a drive up that way. Any suggestions where to go?

I liked your review of 4.19.82, I just danced my ass off here to the J. Straw. What a show.

Yeah, I absolutely love 4-19-82...my fave of that strong year.

Boy, you can't go wrong for summer in VT...depends which part of the state you go....If you want to do some hiking, head to Camel's Hump in the northern part of the state, around the Burlington area (Burlington is a terrific town, btw....it's where Univ. of VT is located...lots of cool places to see/hear music, lovely waterfront of Lake Champlain, 8 miles of bike paths...great bars and restaurants...check out "Nectar's", the bar where Phish got its start...you'll see lots of DeadHead stickers on cars up there...)

Ben&Jerry's HQ factory and tour in Waterbury, then a short trip from there up to Stowe...Trapp Family lodge (if you're a Sound of Music fan) is up there...plus there are summer gondola rides for Stowe MT. in the summer...

If you're in the more rural Northeast Kingdom region, head up to Lake Willoughby for swimming, fishing, etc.....

In southern VT, Bennington and Brattleboro have some lovely spots...

Depends what you're in town for and for how long...let me know closer to your visit and i'll name some others!

Hey Grendels-just finished your beloved 10/29/77. Sweet! Sending a copy to our Thai friend. Where in Vt are you. I spent many years next state over around Hanover and the folks still live near Littleton.

Hey Jody!

Good Karma for you for sending StillDead77 my favorite all-time show...(isn't it just GRATE? :-) Every time I think i've tapped all its wonderfulness I find something else...just now appreciating how tremendous the Let it Grow and FOTD are amongst the other scorchers...ahhhhh, Evan's Fieldhouse!

Anyway, I'm in the Burlington area, been here going on 4 years now, and love it.

Where you at?

St. Louis. My wife, daughter and I visited UVM over the summer as she graduates this May. Vey nice, although the campus was in a state of disrepair. She is still waiting to hear if she gets in and if there is any scholarship funds available. Hey, theres a band called Assembly of Dudt that plays Higher Ground on occaission-check them out if you haven't already.

Will do that!

UVM is a fine school..I hope she gets in. They've been in the middle of a lot of building projects lately--there's a new student center building that's just about finished which should be very nice.

The mens' BB team just suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of rival Albany. Had UVM won they would have made the NCAA for the first tme since '05 when they upset Syracuse in the first round.

Thanks for the Higher Ground band suggestion--I live a stone's throw from the club. Saw Ratdog there last year. (They sucked).

I assume you see Dark Star when they play there? One of their faves and it always sells out.

Yes, the one and only time I ever saw DSO was at Higher Ground.

Really impressive, but any Dead cover band actually makes me kind of sad b/c it makes me miss the real thing that much more.

I look at seeing Dark Star as a night out hearing a band play music I really like. Lots of like minded people, good vibes. I saw the outside at a smal natural amphitheater cut into the woods last summer here in St. Louis. Very nice way to spend an evening.
